In partnership with CLC – Children’s Learning Center of Stamford, this project helps keep local children and families warm during the coldest months. Thank you to our members, volunteers, and trust for this meaningful effort—together, we’re sharing warmth, care, and the true spirit of Rotary in our community.
As the premier service club in Stamford, we promote and help build communities through education, philanthropy and fellowship. Our humanitarian efforts reach from across the street to all corners of the world. Each year, we perform many local projects as well as international service projects.
We are a committed group of business and professional individuals who come together for fellowship and service. We share a common desire to improve our community.
Our motto is Service Above Self but we make sure we have fun at the same time.

Welcome to the Rotary Club of Stamford — a community where service, fellowship, and purpose come together to make a real and lasting impact.
Serving as President is deeply personal for me. I didn’t just find Rotary — I grew up in it. Back home in Guyana, my grandmother single-handedly brought people together in our village to care for one another. She organized support for families, helped neighbors through difficult moments, and made sure no one felt forgotten. We didn’t call it Rotary then, but the spirit was exactly the same: people showing up for people, using whatever resources they had to lift others.
Years later, when my friend Gail Malloy invited me to the Rotary Club of Stamford, it felt like coming home. The work felt familiar. The heart behind it felt familiar. It was the same commitment I had seen growing up — supporting community, responding to both small and big needs, and stepping in when we were fortunate enough to be able to help.
Today, I have the privilege of leading a club made up of compassionate, thoughtful, and action-oriented individuals who care deeply about the well-being of others. Our members come from diverse backgrounds and professions, but we share one belief: when people with caring hearts come together, meaningful change happens.
Whether we are serving meals at Pacific House, supporting families through our Annual Coat Project, uplifting seniors through SilverSource, partnering with Stamford EMS, or strengthening local initiatives across our city, our commitment remains the same — we show up. We lead with kindness. And we serve in ways that are both practical and deeply human.
Rotary is also a place of genuine connection. It’s where community leaders build friendships, collaborate, grow, and support one another as we work to make a difference locally and globally.
