Luke DeSilva Greeted and invocated. There were no visiting Rotarians. We had guests from the Interact Clubs who were here, today, to receive awards.

High 5’s: Ernie for Dick McKnight and Tom earning Paul Harris Awards today; Charlie Judd for them as well; David Radin for his sons Danny and Zach; Mike Meo for President Bob’s year and Dick and Tom; John Kantzas for his birthday; Pres. Bob for the Paul Harris recipients, the Interact kids, and for seeing War Horse this weekend.

Ernie presided over the Paul Harris Award Ceremony. Ernie recounted some interesting, little known facts about Paul Harris. The first award was presented by Mike Zucker to Tom. Mike gave a very eloquent, detailed history of Tom’s activities both in the Club and in town. The next award was presented by Bob Karp who also outdid himself in recounting Dick’s history in town both in his work and his personal commitments.

Don Richardson then presided over the Interact awards. The first one went to Jason Rathman. Jason is President of the Stamford High School Interact Club, the National Honor Society, put in 300 hours of community service, and helped build a school in Nicaraqua.

The second award went to Jennifer Rodriguez from Westhill High School who is a major volunteer at Stamford Hospital and will be attending the U. of R.I.

The third award went to Kai Jiang, President of the Interact Club at AITE, a National Honor Society member and is a winner of numerous awards in Photography, drawing, and painting. Over the summer she works with kids as an art intern at the Mead School.

Pres. Bob thanked all for today’s events
