Rotary Club of Stamford

On Saturday, May 2nd, the Rotary District of Southern Connecticut gathered in Mystic for our annual conference. Being the first Saturday in May, it was also the 140th running of the Kentucky Derby. AT the gala dinner that evening, the race was shown in the dining hall, and there was a definitive Derby theme. Colorful hats and mint juleps were abound in the hall. After that very exciting race, dinner followed and was puncuated by an awards ceremoiny that featured one of our own. Arisleyda Riehl was honored by our DIstrict Governor for her service and leadership as a Rotarian. It was a terrific - and well deserved - award and cewremony and for those of us in attendance, we were very happy to share the evening with her. Three cheers to Arisleyda!
